I'm a theologian (church nerd) learning good lessons from my wife, four children, and three dogs. I have been a pastor in the United Methodist Church since 2002 after my wife and I graduated from New Mexico State University and then headed to Wesley Theological Seminary where I completed my Master of Divinity degree and was then ordained an Elder in in the UMC by the Bishop of the New Mexico Annual Conference. I have served in several United Methodist Churches both as an Associate Pastor, Wesley Foundation (College Ministry) Director and as Lead Pastor. I pray that you will join with me, my wife, my children, and our congregational family in becoming better disciples of Jesus Christ.
I have been a member of Elmwood West for 6 years but have attend church here for more than 10 years. I found Elmwood West when I was looking for church that felt like family. Elmwood West was exactly the church that I needed.
I taught elementary school for 35 years and after I retired, I came to work at Elmwood West as church secretary. Last September I became the chairman of the Elmwood West Food Booth at the West Texas Fair and Rodeo. I also chair the committee that hold the Barbeque and Bunco Fundraiser each February.
I keep very busy with work at the church but also find time to keep myself involved in education. I work at Mathnasium tutoring children.
